New year, new possibilities

Unknown source

2010 is going to be the year that I…

  • participate in Susannah Conway‘s Unravelling class (starting January 4th! yay!)
  • continue my journey inwards and get to know myself better
  • read 25 books!
  • travel to new and exciting places (although starting the year with traveling to two places I have been many times; Alicante and London)
  • get organized with my studies
  • develop my blog
  • aim to get paid for my writing
  • learn to take a camera with me everywhere I go
  • learn to use a dark room
  • declutter my home
  • make drinking water a habit
  • get fitter
  • eat less junk
  • stay happy and healthy
  • live abroad for a small or long period (?)
  • learn to think positive
  • say no to things I don’t want to do
  • do things right away
  • spend less time pointlessly surfing the web
  • enjoy the small things
  • start the year with Charade‘s M.Y.L.A (Make Your Life Amazing) series
  • finish what I start

Ps. I don’t do resolutions in the regular sense… I see these more as goals and reminders than possible failures! If you want to share your hopes and goals, please do! :)

Finishing what we start – what a great commitment to make :) & living abroad, I firmly believe it’s the best way to ‘travel’.

I’m all for saying no to things I don’t want to do. It seems silly and obvious, but I’ve done things I think I should and things to make other people happy a million times. It makes me much happier to just to what I want to do.

I clicked through from another blog some time ago and saved your blog in my GoogleReader all this time. Just wanted to comment and say that that is a great list! And I am very envious that you were able to register for ‘Unravelling’. I intend to do so during the next cycle because I had a last minute errand during the time-slot she set for registration and so I missed out. :\

I also need to drink more water in a day. And good luck with living abroad this year. that sounds so exciting.

“Say no to things I don’t want to do”;– I’ll need to bear that in mind as well. I’ve spent most of my life doing things that I think would make the people around me happy, but sometimes I just have to realise that all it takes to make people happy is for me to be happy and love myself. Happiness is clearly infectious :)

For this year, I hope to continue writing in my ‘happy journal’, and save more money, since I’m getting married this year! Haha :P
