This saturday, I went to the opening sale of a new store here in Oslo, a combined travel store, travel agent and coffeeplace called Chillout. I talked a lot with one of their travel agents, and I have almost decided to travel to India in December. So, this is the reason behind my picture post today, as I have been thinking about nothing else the past couple of days. I have been at the library and picked up no less than 5 travel guides!
Have any of you been to India? Share your tips if you have!
I’d also love it if you want to share your favorite India pictures. I love to prepare and dream about the place I’m going to visit. It makes the whole experience even more exciting!
ps. If you haven’t already, check out this interview with Liss from Daydream Lily and her Diana Mini pictures from India!

oh I highly recommend traveling to India with a lomo camera or four!! so much fun. WOW love the Taj one! These photos look like they’re from the north of India… a very sad story, my film from the North of India didnt work out…I nearly cried. It was the one with elephants and colour and beautiful buildings. I had the settings wrong on the camera… so most of my photos are from the south which is a bit different.
Id love to go back and photograph the north!!
ps. thanks so much for the link :)
i have never been to India but would love to go one day. Great shots! Just one question so.. lomography – do the photos come out that way because of the camera or the film?
hello ! I’ve been to india twice and both times I had an amazing time. most people tend to worry about getting ill in india, my tip on this would be:
1. make sure you get your vaccinations/malaria pills (for illnesses beyond your control i.e. those that are spread by mosquitoes e.g. yellow fever, malaria)
2. be attentive to what you eat (for illnesses you can control e.g. travellers’ diarrhoea). my one rule: no cut fruit and ice cubes. I’ve been eating street food in india (it’s half the excitement lost if you only stick to sanitized restaurants) and haven’t been sick once.
3. open your senses, explore and have fun !
