I love this list and have so many of these books – a few of them like Tim Ferris’ “4-hour work week” and Tara’s “Radical Acceptance” are on my read now list.

I also love “Mama Gena’s School of Womanly Arts” by Regena Thomashauer and recommend it to all women!

I don’t actually read too many non-fiction books, but this is a great selection. Maybe I will have to get into these as well.

I like to have two books at the same time – one fiction and one non-fiction. I find it easier to concentrate when I switch between books! :)

A short history of nearly everything by Bill Bryson is my favorite book – it explains science and has a very interesting approach to the subject. Especially if you have a hidden desire to know more about science, however your formal education never present the subjects in ways you could truly understand. I mean, not all of us want to be physicists however some want to understand how things work.

Another one is Social origins of dictatorship and democracy by Barrington Moore Jr. It’s an excellent book and as a Law student I found it quite enlightening.

I’ve read about half of a short history of nearly everything, and I remember it was really funny!

I was sneak reading in my friends book, have to get my own copy I think!

I’ve been meaning to read both ‘Crazy, Sexy Diet’ and the ’4-Hour Workweek’ for a while now. I’ll have to hurry up and get to them soon. ‘The Spark Kit’ looks really good, too.

I’m loving your book suggestions and will be reading several of them!
One of my favorite books would have to be Nataile Goldberg’s book Wirting Down the Bones

I love these suggestions too. I have started Women, Food and God and love it so far. I have the Spark Kit but haven’t gone through it yet. The Creative Habit sounds really good too. May have to put that one on my list :).
I also love Writing Begins with the Breath.

thx for sharing these!

Come on – dig into the Spark Kit right away! It’s probably the best of them all in my opinion!

I can’t say I read a lot (if any) non-fiction, but I’d like to start branching out, broadening my book horizons. A few of these have sparked my interest, so I’ll add them to my list. :)
xo.
