I love your list posts because there are always so many options! 55 gentle ways… 27 ways… It shows that you really care about your readers.

I’m currently working on standing up for myself with grace. The “with grace” part is the hardest because by the time I feel like I really NEED to stand up for myself, I’m so worn out and exhausted that it looks and feels more like a mental breakdown than standing up for myself.

I also love “Take the action where you feel the most resistance” because it’s so true!

Thank you so much, Jenn! I really enjoy writing list posts too! <3

About standing up for yourself, I think the key part is to set boundaries and stand up before you're already exhausted and worn out. Try to listen to your body's signals a little earlier next time. Hope you are well xxx

I love this, particularly the fact that you aimed it at people in a modern world. So much of our lives these days involves going against our intuition and our true nature. We force ourselves to wake up at certain times, eat at certain times, start activities at certain times, even go to the toilet at certain times. Usually, this is because the structures within which we live are so restrictive that we have no choice. But to listen to our bodies and go with what feels natural is such a powerful things to do.

Over the winter, I stopped running altogether. I stayed fit by walking the dog and doing yoga, but the idea of running in sub-zero temperatures just didn’t appeal to me. Now that spring’s (supposedly) arrived, I can’t get enough of running again!

Another example. This morning, I woke up with my alarm at 7am. However, I still felt really tired so I got back in bed. I ended up dozing until about 10am. OK it’s Sunday, so I was allowed to do this. But we should be allowed to give our needs this much attention every day.
