Oh some of these are fabulous! I would add New Way Home – Foo Fighters, What I am – Edie Brickell, Today is a Good Day – NMA and Wishlist – Pearl Jam :)

Oh one of my favorite things: music that makes your heart smile. Go listen to these:

Ophelia (The Band)
When I Paint My Masterpiece (The Band)
It Takes a Lot of Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry (Dylan)
Pump It Up (Elvis Costello)
Rosalita (Springsteen)
Merry Christmas Baby (Springsteen)
Runaround Sue (Dion)
I Want a Little Sugar in My Bowl (Nina Simone)
Let the Good Times Roll (Dr John or the version with Stevie Wonder, Bono and Ray Charles)
Lavender Coffin (Lionel Hampton)
Baby Workout (Jackie Wilson)

And then, if you’re still not feeling joy, let me know. I’ve got more!!

Love and blessings,

I really love mellow indie when i need a pick me up, something positive and upbeat.

Lykke Li always does the trick!!! I also really love the lumineers, matt & kim and anything by muse.

Check out my 8tracks profile for some awesome mellow music :)

what a lovely list of songs that lift downtrodden spirits. it makes it easier to dance that way.

i love listening to florence and the machine for an instant pick me up. her lyrics are pure poetry and soul.

I love all your songs :) Thank you so much!

A song that really gets me smiling is “Can’t Keep It In” by Cat Stevens – on a good day I’ll get all bubbly inside, and that’s always a good thing!

All the best wishes for you, Marthe – you’re doing good!
