This is a great and really helpful post.
I don’t know what this year’s Christmas is gonna bring, but after last year I’ve been scared of it for months now.

I think it will be especially hard to remember who I am and to be mindful; last year I was awful at that because I kept concentrating on what an awful time I was having and didn’t even try to enjoy anything of it.

I’ll try to remember this list this year :)

I’ve been having a horrible holiday ridden with family problems, constant reminders of lost loved ones, and more…then this came into my inbox. I feel a little better, although I wish I could’ve ran away. It would’ve helped so much. Thank you.

I too am not looking forward to the holidays after a tough year (boyfriend left me, sister passed away) but your post gives me great comfort. Thanks so much, Marthe! Sending you good thoughts and warm wishes.
