Really brave and inspiring post Marthe! I always give myself a hard time for a lot of small things like this, when really, I’m just making myself feel bad for no reason. Time to start reminding myself of all the good things!

Thank you, Amy! I knew I wasn’t alone feeling this way… ;) Positive thinking is the way to go!

I was actually thinking the other day about how I need to put more focus on the good things I do rather than worrying about what all I didn’t do. It’s hard, though, because there’s a lot I want and need to do and don’t for a variety of reasons (being lazy, being afraid, being depressed). It’s so frustrating! Maybe if I start to celebrate the positives, the negatives will lose a bit of their power and I can make better forward progress. I’ll have to give it a shot. Thanks!

Kjenner meg igjen i mye av dette! God tankegang. Skal “prøve” det ut!

it’s so distressing how much our own thoughts shape our feelings. because life, at least my life, would be much easier/nicer/… if i didn’t dwell on all those sad/depressing/hurtfull thoughts. thank you for telling us your experience with “the work”. i intend to incorporate some of it into my thinking/life. i truly appreciate your honesty :)
