Do you ever feel like no matter how much you try to take care of yourself, it never seems like enough? Or that you simply just don’t have the time, money and energy for self-care?
It’s not always easy to take care of ourselves, even though we technically know we should. As a part of my healing journey, I’ve had to learn how to take care of myself from scratch. Before I cracked the code, my attempts at self-care were pretty much a game of hit and miss. I tried to take care of myself the best way I knew how, but I felt like I didn’t quite get it right. Now I see why my self-care didn’t feel helpful and fulfilling – because I didn’t really understand my needs.
Nourishment starts with clarity on what you truly NEED.
Just as much as you need air, you have other needs that have to be met in order to feel good, healthy and strong. Self-care is the practice of giving ourselves what we need, in the right quantity, at the right time. Without insight around our needs, any attempt at self-care will be frustrating, expensive and time-consuming.
No matter if you’re healthy or in a healing process, learning how to nourish yourself will be enriching and supporting. Listen to the Wild Within was created out of a calling to pass on what I’ve learned, and help you give yourself comforting, blissful and more rewarding self-care.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
I already have no time for self-care! How much time will I need for this course?
You’ll need about 15-20 minutes to read the daily text and play with the experiments, but it doesn’t all have to be during the 10 days of the course. You’ll have lifelong access to all the materials (in your e-mail inbox) and you can digest the information at your own time. That being said, nourishing self-care is an investment that pays off. With your newfound skills you’ll most likely save time in the future, as you’ll be better rested, more nourished and feel more fulfilled – which is likely to make you more focused, more efficient and more energised.
What will I gain from taking this course?
First of all, you’ll learn to look at self-care from a new perspective. You can also expect to get more clarity on what you really need, and how you can give it to yourself in a way that is targeted and efficient. A core component of this is to break the time/care dynamic. Good self-care doesn’t take extra time, it takes awareness around how you spend your time.
When you learn to meet your needs, you’ll truly understand what nourishment feels like. And you might even start to like yourself better, once you learn to see that your needs (even the quirky ones!) are valid and worth paying attention to.
What if I find out that I need something I can’t have?
I know the feeling, and I hear your fear. It’s natural to be afraid that we can’t meet our needs, especially if they involve other people. That being said, there are two ways of looking at this: First of all, discovering what you need doesn’t really change anything – you probably already have the longing. Awareness and insight can only increase the likelihood that you can actually find a way to fulfil your desire. Second, most needs can be met in a variety of different ways. I’ll help you see alternative ways to get your needs covered, also those needs that seem impossible to fulfil.
Can this approach be helpful even if I’m struggling with my mental health?
Yes! Especially if you are struggling with your mental health. But keep in mind that I am not a medical professional, and this course shouldn’t be viewed as a substitute for professional medical help. I trust that you know what is best for yourself and that you how to keep yourself safe. And while we’re at it, I trust that you’ll heal too. I know this from experience; everything is possible. Healing is possible. And yes, also for you. ♥
Do I need to have a Facebook account to participate?
The short answer is: no. You don’t need to be on Facebook in order to participate in Listen to the Wild Within. All course materials will be sent to you by e-mail and you can do the work all by yourself at your own pace. However, I believe that the community aspect of the course (that will all happen on FB) will enrich your experience and you’ll have the added benefit of getting feedback on your process and to be inspired by your fellow participants.
Would I have to share my experience with other people?
Not at all! It’s perfectly fine to be in the group without posting your experiments and worksheets. It is my core philosophy that in a group we need all kinds of people, also the listeners and the ones who bear witness to the process without actively posting.
