Tired & Overwhelmed? There's Something Right about You
I know you are tired.
I can see how you are struggling.
And I sense by the way you hold your shoulders, that your burden is heavy.
The world is screaming for your attention, and the battle never ends. The road is long and the choices you must make are countless. Everywhere you look there seems to be someone who is doing better.
And no matter how much you try, you just can't seem to get yourself to do the work already.
You you're overwhelmed, and you've been here so many times. And yet, it gets you, every time.
And all along you wonder and doubt. Why can't I?
Everyone else are makin' it. They are sold out and booked up and happy. Some people who started on their journey's long after you did, are there already.
But not you.
What am I doing wrong? What's wrong with me? You ask.
Nothing, I answer.
Because you are not incapable, you are exhausted.
You are not underachieving, you are overloaded.
Nothing is wrong with you, and that is the problem. Because if something was wrong, you could have fixed it.
Instead, you are left with the slippery slope, strenuous, shamble of a tactic called self-acceptance.
There's something right about you.
You are having the right reactions to a world that is out of control.
And the only way to deal with it is to take it back.
Take back the control of your own precious life. Don't let the world spin madly on. How you spend your time, what you expose yourself to, who you hang out with: It is your choice.
You don't have to answer to anyone but yourself. But you have to do that much. Listen to your soul, honor your needs and do what you have to do to make your life a little easier to live.
You are not a marionette doll, a victim of your time and surroundings. You are the magician, the power, the force.
Use your powers for good. Do what it takes to accept and relieve, right here and right now.
When you are tired – lie down. Rest right here.
When you are overwhelmed – stop what you are doing. Close your eyes. And breathe.
Because nothing else works.
And nothing else matters.
